FOCUS - EMPOWERMENT, EDUCATION, ENVIRONMENT (The 3 E's)

As anyone who has donated in recent times is aware, the number of charities is infinite and hard to isolate. We have hence chosen to focus on 3 areas:

EMPOWERMENT, EDUCATION, AND ENVIRONMENT

Whereas giving money to the poor and needy is laudable, EMPOWERMENT of individuals with life skills and job training, and entrepreneurship will put them on the path to self-reliance and self-sufficiency. This is identical to the philosophy behind the famous quote, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Empowerment of women and children, health, nutrition, clean water, and sanitation are important agendas for the underdeveloped world.

It is our strong contention that EDUCATION is power and as such is the best gift you can give an individual or a community. Whether it is primary or higher education, job training, entrepreneurship, life skills or environmental education, they all fall in the realm of EDUCATION.

At a time when the ENVIRONMENT is severely threatened, a focus on environmental protection, advocacy and education are of prime importance. It is our sacred duty to preserve this beautiful planet of ours for future generations.
